However, through the magic of Hollywood, we have two different actors portraying Agatha Christie's crack detective! In Evil Under the Sun, we have Peter Ustinov as the wily Poirot, catching the killers with a brilliant display of deduction. In Murder on the Orient Express, a convoluted plot may derail our detective initially, but he will solve the case, and it remains for you to determine whether you agree with his solution or not.
Your job this week is to compare these two portrayals and decide which actor did a better job of personifying the famous Belgian detective, and which movie was more to your liking. So, have some fun, but pose a provocative question or make a thought-provoking observation concerning the actors, the sets, the plots, or anything else about these two films for the rest of the class to discuss. You can, of course, even remind us about our FIRST Hercule Poirot encounter, Death on the Nile.
Please make your original post by Thursday night, and then respond to someone else in the class by Saturday at midnight.
This is your last blog post challenge, so make it a good one!
