Yes, it's that time of the year again...  Welcome back to school!

Please pick up your schedule from me when you arrive Tuesday morning.  Most of you have given me your course selections for the semester, but some of you still need to choose classes for some blocks.

A few schedule changes:
  • Computer Competencies, Block 3, is full; no additions will be allowed.
  • Computer Programming, Block 6, has been cancelled
  • Picture This!  A Digital Photography class has been added in Block 8.  Teacher Nicola will be teaching this class.
  • Quaker Studies:  Mindfulness, Block 8, is full; no additions will be allowed.

In the Spring Semester, Art History II, Economics & Personal Finance, and The Word:  The New Testament will be in different blocks, so if you still need to take these required classes, do not worry--I know what you need!

Don't forget, Advisory begins at 8:15.

Art History I:  What makes us "human"?  That will be the focus of our introductory discussions!

Fundamentals of Composition:  We will go over the syllabus and begin a film which focuses on the writing process:  Finding Forrester.

Science Fiction and Fantasy:  After we read and discuss an essay about speculative fiction, we will be watching a film adaptation of a classic fantasy:  Tuck Everlasting.

The Word:  The Old Testament:  We will begin with an exploration of the geography which gave birth to the Bible by watching the documentary Walking the Bible.

Classes begin on Tuesday, September 1st, and this is an A week.
