Your advisors have your new schedules, so pick these up to get started. I did my best to accommodate YOUR requests within the need to schedule required courses for evertone first. Then, I begin with filling classes from the Class of 2016 through the Class of 2019. If you have been enrolled in a class you did NOT request, OR if you did NOT get into a class you requested, there may be several reasons for that:
- I schedule required classes FIRST whenever the availability allows me to do so. There is nothing worse than getting to the Spring of Senior year and discovering that you will nt graduate because you have not taken and passed a required course! Trust me on this one...
- Priorities for class enrollment are pretty straightforward: it's SENIORS FIRST! Then the Juniors, and next the Sophomores, and finally, the Freshmen get an opportunity. Sometimes a popular class fills fast with upperclassmen, shutting the other classes out. Be patient! Some day you will be an upperclassman too!
- If you did not pass a class, you must retake it.
- If you have not taken the required elective[s] for a course, you may not take the class.
Please remember that I have classes, too, and my World Literature class [Block 1] will be doing presentations from their Fundamentals class last semester, so I will NOT be accepting any changes between the end of Advisory and the beginning of Block 2 on Wednesday!
I have been busy with schedules and syllabi, and, with the first week of new classes, I don't think I have any assignments for my classes yet, but I should have all of the webpages updated by the end of next week, at the latest, and I will update Jupiter with due dates and files for the next several days. So, stay tuned to this space AND to Jupiter as you never know!
We welcome several new students this week:
Class of 2017: Hongyi
Class of 2019: Harvey, Jack, Olivia, and Sherry
Please say "hi" and get to know the newest members of our community!
This is an A week.
