American Literature: We will continue viewing The New World, and if any time remains, you will have a chance to work on your Multi-media Project 1 presentations which are due on Tuesday, February 5th! You need to be ready to present to the class in the role of a teacher the writers/works you have chosen.
Art History: we will continue examining the architecture and gardens of China and Japan this week.
Mystery Fiction: You should be reading Crocodile on the Sandbank and completing your crime logs [notebooks]. The postcards and finished crime logs are due on Friday, the 8th, when we will do a final discussion of the book.
Publications and Media: Your photo essays are due on Friday, the 8th!
Shakespeare's Comedies and Poetry: We will finish watching As You Like It, and then we will discuss the language and culture of Shakespeare's time, and then move on to Twelfth Night, choosing parts before reading the play aloud and discussing what is happening as we read.
Web 2.0: Tips, Tricks, and Tools: We will take a look at the Blabbers you have created [and any other make-up presentations that students who have been sick need to present], and then we shall look at social bookmarking tools in preparation for this week's assignment. Also, please remember that you need to be posting to the class blog at least twice a week by Sunday night!
World Literature: We will continue with The Odyssey, discussing as we watch the contrast between Odysseus and Achilles.
This is a B week, and we have a LOT of people who have been sick or who are now sick. Please wash your hands often and cover your mouth when you cough or sneeze! It's hard to start the new semester by being absent due to illness!
