The Senior class will be off campus during testing enjoying breakfast in celebration of their culminating year at Friends School. The Class of 2015 is off to a strong start in the post- secondary planning process. We already have several college acceptances posted, and I expect many more in the next few weeks!
- Kaleigh has been accepted to Mary Baldwin College and Bridgewater College!
- Lane has been accepted to Hampden-Sydney College!
- Thomas has been accepted to Bridgewater College, Chowan College, Eastern Mennonite University, and Ferrum College!
- Walker has been accepted to Bridgewater College!
The Class of 2015 is also planning a photo session at Forrest Photography after breakfast--formal senior portraits! We will do a drape/tux thing, but families may also want to schedule more complete sessions for this senior year tradition. I can still remember doing this with my mom during my senior year... And THAT was a LONG time ago!
The Admissions Representative from Regent University will be visiting with us on Tuesday, October 14th, at 10:10 in the US English classroom. Interested Juniors and Seniors are invited to attend the presentation—with permission from their instructors!

Mystery Fiction: We continue our reading of Shinjū, and as you are reading, don't forget to place your guess for “who done it” in the back of the book or in some other safe place before you finish. Remember, our class discussion takes place on our class blog and that each of you must post one original comment in response to my prompt by Thursday, and then each of you should respond to someone else's post by Saturday midnight if you are to earn full credit for this course requirement! I have closed the comments for Crocodile on the Sandbank and Death on the Nile to make it easier for you to post in the correct week, but you still need to pay attention and be sure that you are posting to the correct blog entry and making your second post by Saturday at midnight for full credit! I AM deducting points for spelling and grammar mistakes, so be mindful of this as you post!
This is an A week, so Friday is an A day.
Have a great week!
